i just picked up an Intel 530 Series SSDSC2BW240A4K5 2.5" 240GB and am a little shocked at how slow it seems, maybe its just me?

Rig i have it in:
i7 4770k stock
32gig dominater ram
Nvidia gtx 770
Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero sb
latest Intel SSD Toolbox shows it is using:
Intel 8 series/C220 series SATA AHCI controller 8C02 - driver ver. 9.4.0.1023

Any Ideas?

that doesnt look too bad to me, faster than my 830. Nearer to my 850 pro than the 830.

ok thank you.

I am wondering if i should replace it with a 850,
Do you notice that much of a difference?

You're on the MSAHCI driver rather then the intel storage driver. Might run better on the Intel driver.

Overall though, numbers look fine.

I just bought a Ferrari and it only does 330Km/h on the highway, should I be worried ?

@ DejaWiz and Jorona

Thank you both for the information. I will switch drivers and see how that does.

mostly no in live usage, the only difference I am noticing is that on my 830 occasionally something would load slow I think that was due to the poor threading performance.

Bear in mind I upgraded for a few reasons.

1 - I wanted to put an ssd in my win10 rig (see sig), so buying a new one for main rig meant I passed the 830 down to win10 rig.
2 - I wanted larger ssd, old was 128 gig new is 512 gig.
3 - I wanted the better ssd, but I probably would not have brought if this was the only reason.

I know your score is close to my 830 score, but it shouldn't be feeling slow to use, my 830 doesnt.

also the switching drivers is good advice, the intel drivers do seem better for ssd's than msachi. Although it slowed down my 830 write speeds things felt snappier and read speeds improved.

i downloaded and installed the above file.

does not appear to have made a difference.

still showing MSACHI on the AS SSD tool

device manager is showing intel 8 series c22 series sata ahci controller 8C02

I download the intel RST drivers even thou i am not using RAID, now its showing iaStora.sys

I am not finding much information on google that clear if this is correct or not

Thank you both for the help!

The iaStorA driver installed and everything feels snappier
