Installing 32bit Windows 10 Professional using 64bit key?

So I've got a family member that bought a retail Windows 10 license off Microsoft directly and the install media is 64bit only, a bit of an issue as their laptop is an early model with the 32bit Intel Core processor.

Before I go wiping things, does anyone have experience with using a 64bit Windows 10 Pro retail key for installing a 32 bit ISO? I'm sure it will work as the key description in no way implies that it's for 64bit only, but would prefer some confirmation before I go wiping everything.

Has anyone got experience regarding this scenario?

A key is a key, if it's for the same edition of Windows, aka in your example it's a Windows 10 Professional Retail key, it will work for either the 32-bit or 64-bit builds aka architecture, yes.

It won't work for any other edition, of course, since it's a Windows 10 Professional key, so it can't be used for Home, etc. But the architecture doesn't matter, the key is the key.
