Installed new 5770, now my oc is unstable?

I just got a new 5770 to replace my dead 8800gts. Now my computer wont boot with the exact same bios settings as before. Any ideas? I had my cpu at 1.47v fsb +.01 and the pcie is not overvolted. My powersupply should be more than adequate. I'd imagine a 5770 using less power than an 8800 actually. I have a 600w ocz modxstream psu and I just can't figure out what the problem is here

The 5770 is a PCI Express 2.1 card, and your motherboard has an old chipset with probably a PCI Express 1 slot. They may not be compatible. Should work in theory I think, but theory and reality are sometimes different. Is there a way you can try the card in another computer with a newer motherboard?

Well the card works the system just wont post when overclocked.
