Is there anyway to install the Win 7 RC without the bootloader, or have the bootloader installed to just its partition? I know with ubuntu there is just a checkbox to have it install grub to its own partition, not the MBR. Anyway to do this? I am using the vista boot-loader know and would like to continue using that instead having to setup the win 7 one again. Thanks!

Windows 7 installs its boot loader into the current existing system partition on the boot hard drive, the same as Vista.

Unlike Vista, Windows 7 creates a dedicated 100 or 200MB partition as its system partition if one does not already exist on the current boot hard drive.

You can force Windows 7 to install its boot loader into its own partition.
First, create a partition that you want to install Windows 7 in on the boot hard drive (you don't have to format it) and make it active.
Then, go ahead through the installation and select that partition for install. Since the partition is active (system), Windows 7 will use it as the system partition and will not create a 200MB system partition. The boot loader will be installed in the same partition.
