Infinite Loop (Nvidia Display Driver)

Last night I pulled out the old KVM switch so I could share my 24" LCD between my XP machine and a new Linux box I just built.

In doing so, I had to stop using DVI and go back to VGA (my KVM only supports VGA cables). On my first boot w/ VGA cables, I got the Nvidia Display Driver Infinite Loop error (where the screen gets all scrambled then freezes to BSOD).

So flipped back to DVI, uninstalled nvidia display drivers, then flipped back to VGA and booted. Everything worked fine at the default 800x600 and I re-installed Nvidia Forceware drivers.

Then I rebooted. And it happened again,

I have my DVI plugged back in again, and it's working fine.

Has anyone else experienced this??

When I get home from work, I plan to try downgrading my drivers a couple of steps since I had it setup w/ VGA before and had no issues at the time.

Any input or help is appreciated.
