I first heard about her a day or two ago. I was going through steam community hub and people were giving negative reviews for her game, "Depression Quest", complaining that it was as much a game as "Choose Your Own Adventure" books are games. People were complaining that their comments were being censored on Steam's forum.

I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the people on this forum expressing contempt for modern third-wave politically-correct feminism are in fact:

1. Proponents of equality between men and women

2. 100% anti-male-chauvinist

3. Lovers of the many obvious and subtle differences between men and women

4. Diametrically opposed to the idea that women are "asking for it" when they're raped, or any other absurdly false feminist myths about men

Manipulation is still manipulation, and keep in mind that if she "Engineered this" it was to make her look bad, but everything used to make her look bad would make ANYONE look bad if they behaved like that.

And then she goes "Oh its just a ruse I published all this hate stuff about me on purpose so I could show that sexism exists" not only will people be pissed that she on purpose put things on the internet about her that was fake that would make anybody look terrible, they would hate her for the fact that she was manipulating everyone again for her own goals.

As much as I really didn't want to, I read the entire blog again and the chat logs ( instead of skim reading it the first time )

The idea that Zoe slept with industry insiders for positive press, seems fabricated by Kotaku. I'm not seeing that connection anywhere in the blog?

This what I got out of the blog:

20-something guy has a relationship with and "falls in love with" Zoe, a 27 year old, daughter of a "pathological liar" ( Zoe talks about her dysfunctional father in a chat log ). They had a 2 week, whirlwind courtship followed by him experiencing anxiety. They take a relationship break for weeks. She had casual sex with a bunch of other guys, even though previously, she had pitched him a sale that "STD testing, honesty and consent" in relationships, were important ( ie. she told him what she knew he wanted to hear ).

One of the guys that she slept with was her ( married ) work boss. The relationship turns into a roller coaster, train wreck of her lying about lying about lying. She admits that some of the incidents took place because she was lonely, drunk and feeling like shit. Boyfriend tries to find closure, understand the underlying Psychology of Zoe and find out what "truth" is, by flowcharting past Facebook chat logs. For some reason, boyfriend decides to make his relationship public; I'm guessing that he wanted to hurt Zoe. Zoe has 19,000 Twitter followers and cares about her public image.

I agree with most of Zoe's rebuttal in that, I see the relationship as a private matter. If I did 9 nude shoots in 2007 + whatever is on the porn site, I don't think that I could say, "My life and my body are not public property." especially in the digital era when things last an inordinate time:

Nah, it's too politically-incorrect to suggest the notion that...gasp...promiscuous men have high sexual market value, and that promiscuous women do not.

The alpha male is everywhere in nature; he dominates, he impregnates multiple females, and then he is overthrown by another superior male. His evolutionary imperative is to seed as many females as possible, and to protect as much of his offspring as he can. It's not fair and it's not nice, but it is true and it does apply quite directly to human gender relations. The female evolutionary imperative is to make sure their offspring are strong, intelligent, well-fed, and well-protected. To achieve this, females attach themselves to ascendent males and are quick to flee a declining male. Marriage attempts to control these two, different, evolutionarily-driven impulses to help create stable society.

Some may think that our enlightened modern society has raised humanity above such savage impulses. They are mistaken. Human society has evolved extremely rapidly, far more rapidly than human biology. It will take tens of thousands of years for these primal instincts to stop being the backdrop to romantic male-female relations.
