I've made a post at Head-Fi, but I figured there might be some here that'll throw in their 2 cent.

Right now, I've got the HD201 (and my Panasonic RP-HJE50's, my portables). Well, I've given into the Head-Fi curse and have decided to save up some denero for some cans at no more than $165. Right now, my focus is on the HD555s. Ultimatly, I'm looking for the most balanced sound I can get in that price range, and velour or something equally comfotable is a must.

I would suggest you audition the K501s.
But be forewarned the headphone jack on a receiver ain't gonna get the job done with those phones.

Thought about them, but as you pointed out, they arent the easiest to drive. Hoping to find something decently easy to drive ATM. An amp will be what I'll be saving up for next after these next cans.
