Obviously a user should buy hardware and software which work with each other, but that wasn't what I was talking about at all.
I was talking about who is at fault for the hardware incompatibility in the first place, which would be both the hardware and OS vendor. People in this thread were attempting to excuse these incompatibilities by placing the fault entirely on hardware vendors, while really the issue is the fault of both parties.
