gameplay trumps graphics but I can't get past that cartoony animation style...

I literally never played a Zelda game before and I loved it.. you didn't like it but accept the fact that most people did
I accept it is popular but the game itself is trash. Nintendo can literally shit in a case and people will be smearing it all over themselves and claim it is the best game ever. I felt HDZ was robbed for game of the year. It was a better game from top to bottom. I did and still do love the older Zelda games. They started to lose me after OoT.

You not liking it doesn't make it trash. I have no issue with personal opinions but they're not facts. That's not how it works. Sorry.

Maybe you were a bit old for it ? I did buy the Nintendo just for that game because of the reception and I couldn't get into it, but I felt that it was really well made and that for kids it must have been a great games to play.

Maybe? I can still play Zelda 1, 2 and lttp and still love them. I liked a link between worlds of 3ds buyer other then that I could not get into the newer games. Neither my nieces or nephews between the ages of 8 to 15 could care less for nintendo games.

So has anyone actually tried it? It's on sale for $30 after the epic games store coupon on sale. Looks tempting to me.

I bought it on that same deal yesterday. Installed and ran through the somewhat lengthy-ish intro stuff and ran around a few minutes before I called it a night. Installing a new monitor and video card today and am looking forward to spending more time with it. It ran at a pretty solid 60FPS on the rig in my signature. I like the graphic style...reminds me a little of the LoZ: Wind Waker remake on Wii U. Music was great too.

I bought it yesterday night on a whim after being a little disappointed with Cyberpunk (may end up requesting a refund on that) Played for 2+ hours already, it was hard to put down/

Damn I'm really enjoying it. The graphics are absolutely beautiful and it runs great, I'm playing on an LG CX. Sound is great too. The game is hilarious too, two greek gods are narrating your character in a funny way, the game doesn't take itself too seriously.

If you like Zelda BOTW I think you will like this game. I'm excited to play again after I finish my coffee and breakfast!

Note that it's also 33% off on Ubisoft Store + another 21% off if you pair it with another game. If you pair it with "Petz Horsez 2" (92 cents), price comes to around $32. Couple bucks more expensive than the Epic deal, but maybe worth it for the anti-Epic people. Plus you get Petz Horsez 2, the defining game of this generation.

I played for around 2 hours. It's fun. Combat feels nice. Your final strike on an enemy launches them into space which is pretty entertaining. Looking forward to playing it more, but Cyberpunk is eating my time.

I'm playing it via a Ubisoft+ subscription, it's really good! Pretty shamelessly rips off Breath of the Wild but it definitely adds a lot of fun mechanics, too. Hopefully the season pass adds some cool stuff.

I'm in the middle of Cyberpunk 2077 but couldn't resist it for $30 so snagged it. Looking forward to jumping in once I finish Cyberpunk. Will be a nice change of pace.

Was going to get this but Cyberpunk sucked me in. 80 hours into that so i'm thinking about slowing down and trying this. I loved BoTW and Genshin Impact (the latter until i had to pay to win) so this looks really interesting.

i paired it with "locked on: air combat" instead, got it down to ~$44CAN

Is Ubiosoft Connect running? I had issues once where it would consistently CTD after the title screen. Force closing Ubisoft Connect and launching it again seemed to work.

Looks like a mixture of AC: Odyssey and Zelda. Apparently this started as an idea when making Odyssey.

A rip off of BoTW is a bad idea. With out the Zelda name the BoTW would of been a flop.
