IM confused on rev3 motherboards?

i just got my replacement asus WS revolution MB from newegg. and besides a sticke that was half ass put on the MB its identical down to the revision number 1.02 printed on the MB

so is this really a replacement or did i just get a same MB thats the same as the one i have.


thers really no way to tell which one is REV 3 and which is not. i have to take the sticker off since its covering half the cpu socket.

Wow this is the first WS revo I've heard of getting replaced! I'd already given up finding one

I think based on the other thread about GB boards that some manf's are probably going to use up the existing pcb's and relabeling them rather than re-printing them until they run out of stock.

Also doesn't Asus have a sata checker program? Not that I'd ever use it...

at this point its pointless to even replace it cause ill never use the affected sata ports anyways. i only did the replacement to help with resell ability down the road if i decide to sell it. but once i take the sticker since half of its covering the cpu socket theirs no way to tell them apart.

i just noticed that when i was in the bios and came back to report. also there is a sticker on the back side that says rev3

regardless though if you had to boards next to each other you wouldnt be able to tell them apart.
