If you could build the most cost effective build for gaming, what would it be, what would consist of? I'm not saying to be cheap, sometimes expensive hardware still provides a good value for the money. So what is the best bang for the buck build you could have for?

You're missing a whole lot of variables here. Like what's the max resolution, what parts are needed, any special features needed in the mobo, will there be overclocking, etc.

We can leave it any one's criteria and then say "this is my build and it's meant for some overclocking" or "this is great value outside of the box" and the likes.

Notes for the above build:
- If the person already has a storage drive and an extra $75, I'd recommend spending the extra cash for the Intel 40GB SSD listed in ther other build.
- For multi-GPU setups, it's been shown that Intel's Core i7 + X58 combo provides a bit performance than a Core i7 + P55 combo or AMD CPU/Mobo combo.
