Ideas for software to run on a NAS box

Jan 3, 2006
I decided to not upgrade my video card and instead put together a little NAS box, which is now freshly built and running Ubuntu 8.04.
I set up the raid as a samba share and that's all working fine, but since it's essentially a fully-functional PC I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for interesting software to run on it. I'll probably use it as a torrent box, and I'd quite like to set up an itunes-compatible music server. And there's always folding or something to use the inevitable spare cycles.
It will be serving an XP desktop, as well as a couple of ubuntu laptops.
