At the moment im using my Acer X34. i like it but it could have more HZ and there are still some games which do not support 21:9 correct. So my ideal monitor would be:
32"
2560x1440
144Hz
Gsync
IPS or VA
Low Response
Low Input lag
and FLAT (for me curved does make sense for 34"+ @21:9 but not for 16:9

what do you think? what would be your personal best monitor? (except oled, too expensive atm)

I'm the oddball who prefers smaller monitors so would want:

24"
1920x1080p
144Hz
Gsync
IPS
No drastic BLB/Glow issues

Would settle with TN if it's true 8-bit panel and above 144Hz capable as a trade-off going for TN (IPS is only good for 144Hz~165Hz or so, 165Hz already is slightly above the capability of IPS response times on current IPS panels as seen in reviews) so waiting for proper reviews of the 240Hz TN, there isn't any good 1080p out there right now and still no IPS 144Hz panel.

What I want from an ideal monitor just isn't going to exist at any price point.

-Any size from 24" on up is good, though given how this computer room is set up, a 42" or greater display would be really nice. Not too much larger than that, though! 50" might be the sweet spot for this computer room.
-2560x1440 minimum. Heck, a contiguous 5120x1440 in 32:9 form would be great for DARIUSBURST's sake. Authentic arcade aspect ratio, no unsightly bezels in the middle!
-120 Hz minimum; that shouldn't be too hard with all the 144-165 Hz monitors out there.
-G-SYNC and FreeSync 2.0 in the same package. (As if NVIDIA would ever allow that!)
-OLED. LCD needs to just die already! Bonus points if they can get rid of the kinda-VA-ish black smear that I've observed in both my Note 4 and my Rift CV1; seems like OLED response time still isn't quite on par with CRTs.
-The absolute lowest input lag possible, obviously.
-100% Rec. 2020 color gamut coverage. (Yeah, like that's happening when most current displays can't even fully cover DCI-P3!) HDR alongside the wide gamut goes without saying, of course.
-Hardware LUT for firmware-level calibration with a colorimeter/spectrophotometer and presets for other color gamuts like sRGB, AdobeRGB, DCI-P3, etc. in addition to Rec. 2020.
-No curve! Keep it flat!

Yeah, I'm basically asking for professional-level color management and gaming-grade refresh rates/negligible input lag in the same package. That generally doesn't happen at all, though that Asus PG27UQ does look like it's getting there.

37.5" 3840x1600 21:9, 75+ hz, Freesync, curved. Obviously need acceptable gtg and input lag times.
