I have a 50 pin SCSI drive, it's an IBM drive. I stopped using it when it got so hot, it started to melt the sticker on it. Well, I got bored and dremeled the screws (I don't have any hex bits that small) and took the top off. Well, this drive had visible marks on the top visible platter as soon as I took the top off. So, I plugged it into power... I heard a nice scraping sound as the heads moved over the drive. :( Poor thing... It either has bad read/write heads, or is out of adjustment. Since there are already bad sectors all over the drive, it's not really worth it.

I might use the first half of the drive (good sectors there). Could be interesting to put a window on. I'll use Saran Wrap as I don't have any clear material that would be suitable.
