I take back anything bad I ever said about PS3

yeah but it does have motion sensing and it doesn't eat through AA's like the 360 does. I probably have to replace the batteries twice on my 360 before i need to charge the PS3 controller.

The 360s rechargeable battery packs last longer than the PS3's. A new PS3 controller holds about 25-30 hours of juice.... new 360 battery pack lasts me 30-35.. Plus, when the PS3 batteries kick the bucket, you have to buy new controllers.

true but the 360's rechargeable packs cost extra where PS3's are built in.
 
Actually, if anyone bothered to read the manual (does anyone do that, like ever?) for the PS3, the battery is user serviceable. You just need a screwdriver and a new battery. That's all.
 
Let me add myself to the people who takes back (most of) the bad things I said about the PS3. Just picked one up this weekend, and hot damn it's a nice piece of engineering. I downloaded the 1.8 firmware and use it to serve porn over the home network from my PC to my HDTV. Very nice! It would be nicer if there were more good games for it now, (besides Motorstorm, F1 and Resistance) but I bought a 360 on launch, so I know how the waiting game goes. There are some decent games already, certainly as many decent games as exist on a certain other game console that people keep dragging this thread off topic to bitch about.

I really wish they would have included an HDMI cable though. Like, I totally don't need another ethernet cable, especially since I'm using wireless. Arg.

Hey I've got a good idea for all you people who like your Wiis: enjoy it! I sure like my Wii. There's no reason to rain on the parade of other people who enjoy their PS3. To do so reeks of purchase insecurity. If you're so fucking confident then you don't need to spend so much time justifying why your way of thinking is teh BEST EVAR. So stfu and quit dragging this thread off topic.
