So I'm in the market for a new LCD monitor and the most I want to spend is $500. I want something for watching blu-ray movies, gaming, and regular computer stuff. Suggestions for this criteria? I want a good balance of quality and size of monitor. I also want it to be at least 26".
 
Benq V2400W or G2400WD. both are 24 inches, have HDMI/VGA/DVI. I game on my V2400W using HMDI for Xbox 360 and DVI for my computer. Excellent picture quality for a TN panel. If you buy directly from the Benq store you can use the promo code thankyou10 and get 10% off.
 
IMO, you should avoid TN monitors if you plan to watch blu-ray content.
TN is fine for gaming, though.
 
I'm in a frat house, and will be on a couch about 6-7 feet away from the monitor to watch blu rays. A 28" TN panel isn't good enough for this? Would it be THAT much better if I got a 26" non-TN, for example?
