I need a riser cable (20cm) - can I use any cable or does it need to match my case? (N-ATX v2)

I ordered the N-ATX from sfftime a couple weeks ago - they were out of stock on riser cables at the time and the build migration is going to be a project so I didn't worry about the cable too much.

Now that the case has arrived, I'm wondering if I need their specific "matched" cable or can I just use whatever?

This is going to start as a liquid cooled ITX 11900K / 3090 but I plan to upgrade it to the new gen CPU so I need at least a PCIE 4 cable...

As long as you get the appropriate length and PCIe-lane width (and type), any brand cable will work.

It depends on what the case geometry needs, but the layout of the N-ATX appears pretty straightforward. If I were going to do this for a 3090, i'd get a shielded x16 cable with a 90 degree mount on the motherboard connection side so that the cable would lay flatter behind the video card, but straight connections would probably work just fine as long as you order a long-enough cable to get from the motherboard slot to the bottom of the video card when it is mounted. If you decide to use a "straight" connection cable, it doesn't have directionality as it can bend either way.

Is that what double reversed means here?

From that picture, it could mean the U-turn done by the GPU connector on the cable (which is what you want) or the fact that the two ends appear to be flipped (look at the location of the pcie notch/gold connector notch, which is something you don't want).

Because many of the cables are sourced internationally (and likely auto-translated), I would tread carefully with terminology and really just try to make sure you know the geometry you need and verify it as much as you can from measurements or schematics provided.

Even then you might buy an incorrect cable or two, but that is part of the adventure, lol.

It appears to fit the case - the board end has the right orientation and the screw holes on the cable line up with the mounting point.

Nice - may have just been a wonky picture then. Glad you find the right one!
