I just bought an E6400 + EVGA 680i LT.. can i upgrade to Q6600 later?

I just got a pretty good deals at frys:
E6400 OEM + EVGA 680i LT (one with lifetime warranty) for $260 after rebate

my current pentium D 803 is pure crap and doesnt overclock well at all, its holding back my x1800xt 256mb from running hl2 well.

Today i picked up some of this stuff:

my biggest concern is in july can i buy a Q6600 and plop it in this current setup?

if not im thinking about returning all of it.

Yes. The eVGA 680i supports Quad-Core processors.

thanks hopefuly this ram is good even with a quad core as well.
