Hi all, I got brand new flicker free screen and hurts my eyes help me fix the settings please acer x27 predator. this is 27 4k 144hz screen for those who are not familiar,
my previous monitor was 23" eizo forris full hd scaling 150 dpi
My current settings are as follows due to my current weak gpu - i am expecting to receive gpu in next 2-3 weeks so i can go to 4k,
now i am using acer at full hd - but please you can also provide me settings for 4k as well.

Distance between my self and monitor is. 1 meter.

Monitor is connected to gpu via hdmi,
Current resolution 1920x1080 60hz. - i cant go up because gpu doesnt support 4k at 60kz or 144kz .

Acer is set to user mode > picture

Peak white nits ( current settings 300 ) maximum which i can go is 500 nits

Contrast 50

Blue light is at 50% - it can go to off,80%,70%,60%,50%

Dark boost level 1

Backlight response hybrid

SDR VARIABLE backlight > on

auto brightness > on

auto black level > on



Color

Relative gamma > default

sdr colors srgb > on
dp ycbcr srgb > on

hdmi ycbcr srgb > on

color temp > blue light



GAMING >

Overdrive > normal ( i can change to extreme or off )
mode user >
wide mode > aspect
deep sleep > dp deep sleep on > hdmi deep sleep > on


Tell me which things i should change and to what.

Up the refresh by sacrificing some resolution OR Upgrade the GPU to do 4k / 144. Get it tp 120Hz minimum.
 
I am expecting new Gpu which i will receive in 2 weeks.
will 120- or 144 hertz help me?

It should, not sure if it slow refresh or tearing that wonks you out - you will have to figure that out on your own.
 
Running at non native resolution is probably why. You should be fine once you get your new gpu and can run 4k.
 
i can run at 4k now but, i have issue with scalling and i cant go above 30hz...
 
My previous SCREEN is eizo foris fs2333, my current Acer x27 bothers me all the time........... it bothers me even in 1920x1080...... in everytype of use... my previous Eizo was in economy all the time........ and i never had this issue it was even flickering screen, cheap one. it was again same resolution and same hertz full hd 60herz... my old monitor have different brightness levels so its very different screen... my eizo doesnt had any blue light filter it had only paper mode...... my previous monitor was specs wise at around 250 cm brightness max... and i use it at....



i have Eizo settings but its quite different monitors so its impossible to compare eizo is full hd ips with flickering pulse wave modulation etcs...
made before more than 10 years

X27s should not flicker...something is wrong.

Try with your new gpu, if problem persists RMA monitor

acer x27
doesnt flicker my previous eizo was flickering,

its not a gpu issue its more settings issue i dont know what level of brighntess etcs to use..
