Marietta GA and Duluth also has deep cleaning, return quarantines, as well as mask and the alcohol dude, however, masks, which according to several international studies as well as stamped on the box, do nothing to prevent the spread of any viral particulate, are not enforced. They dont even ask you to leave.

Heres the ones they are requiring everyone to wear ...

Not being anti mask or political, just pointing out an observation, nothing more.

But Microcenter still refuses to get AMD gpus in any real quantity. Right now nV is supplying far more. At least local to Atlanta.
In the middle of a pandemic invite hordes to your store with in store only pickups. Yeah that makes soo much public health sense. Personally I will wait until I can purchase from a vendor online. That could be a week from now or months from now; I'm not going into any store unless it's an essential item like food.

Box states it does not "eliminate" (this words means 100% stops). That's a far cry from preventing, which the masks do. The only guarantee to eliminate the spread is not being within miles of said infection.

Twice today I got newegg notification emails for 6900xt. On one email with a 240PM time stamp I was on the web page at 241PM. Gone, no chance to get it. The first email I let a whole five minutes go, which was obviously way too much.

Newegg tells me that they have some 'great bot destroyers' lol

Uh yah no. Rumor going around the paid for bots are using the business API to put in orders as soon as it hits and are able to clean them out in seconds. No matter what the truth is, the email notifications are (can confirm here) a total waste of time. 1 minute is not fast enough.

Got the card a little after noon today. Was surprised to see it show up on Sunday. Yea!

Packed well, box in perfect condition.

Interesting choice for packaging of the card, it has an AMD Radeon mousemat wrapped around it to swaddle all that GPU goodness. :)

Decided to go ahead and drop it in the son's machine for now as I don't feel like messing with the water cooling on mine, and he will be playing a lot of games over the next month and give it a better workout than I would.

Pretty cool that they give you a free mouse mat with the 1k graphics card... BUT will it run Crysis at 4k? ;)

PS Every gamer will die a little inside if you tell us you bought a 6900XT for your son to run games at 1080p, :p

He actually has two 4K screens. :) Being my son does have a couple of perks assuredly.

Oh man, don't be saying stuff like that, next thing I know is my son will start thinking he can guilt me into a 4k screen. "C'mon dad, Kyle's son has two 4k screens and I do not even have 1, why do you hate me?" - jhatfie's son.

Still sad state of affairs on AMD and Nvidia. Least in USA still has more than Canadian stocks. Hopefully next few months will change that.

After fiddling with my 6900XT for a bit, it is pretty obvious that these 6000 series really would benefit from less constrictive power limits. According to my Corsair software, my system gets to around 500W gaming and with the Radeon Software monitoring, my 6900XT locks in at 293W when running timespy with the max power limit. With that, running Assassins Creed Valhalla, I see clocks in the 2650-2700 range and 2450-2500 in TimeSpy. I bet the AIB models are going to clock insane with more available power and even better coolers. Wish I had another 30-50W or so to play with.

I was surprised how small the card is, it is shorter and not as high than my XFX THICC II 5700XT (2 fan version) was (But ironically, maybe more thick, lol). With max fans, temps are actually in the sub 60C range with junction around 75C. It is of course loud. At around 1900-2000 rpm, the fans are not loud compared to my ambient noise and case fans and still keep edge temps at or below 70C.

I did run into a stability issue when running a single power cable that split to dual 8pin connections. Got a couple shut downs under max gpu load (Maybe not surprising). Switched to individual cables and have been rock solid since.

Lower the volts. Can run somewhat low.
Best graphics score in time spy is 20500.
Right near the top in class.Still playing in free time.

I'll mess with it more. I did lower voltage slightly to 1.125 and did a regular TimeSpy run. Graphics score was 19775.

So, pulled the 2080 Ti (water cooled and overclocked), put the 6900 XT in.

Did not do DDU, or even a "clean" driver install with Radeon driver, just did it the simplest way possible just to see what would happen.

Fired up CyberPunk 2077 at 1440p. Have changed not a single setting. No RT on, no DLSS. (Did not like the artifacting that DLSS caused.) 2080 Ti was running 70 to 75fps. 6900 XT is running 95 to 100fps.

Dropped it down to 1.09v. Tried 1.075, but got a driver error. That plus realized that I had AMD sharpening enabled on 3dmark, so disabled that. Got a bit better graphics score of 20055. Moving in the right direction.

Nice bro keep pushin.(y)

8 cores doing work.

Thanks for tip.AMD sharpening enabled on all runs. Will try with off.

Edit: Some se·cret sauce in this one......................

Has anyone bought AMD from Best Buy? Looks like only MC and NE are carrying the cards (beyond ScAmazon).

EDIT: BB has had placeholders for 6800xt's... but I've never seen them in stock (and I check often)

I have never seen any RX 6000 cards hit my local Micro Center including launch days.

The 6800 XT reference and AIB variants have both gone on sale (I think 3 weeks after the 6800 XT's launch). The 6900 XT reference went on sale on launch day but the AIB 6900 XT has yet to go on sale on BB's website.

I can accept they had a few cards, early; I've just never seen any stock since then. I've given up on NE - because they're just feeding bots. No MC nearby... BB has had stock, and I helped a friend score a 3070 for a computer he asked me to build for him. Now it's time for my upgrade; and I want either a 3080 or 6800xt. Sadly I just saw a report that AMDs failed launch has relieved any pressure on NV to put out anything in any numbers before February. (sadface) Those will almost exclusively be 'ti' variants with a commensurately higher price tag

I was curious how my overclock and undervolt translated into improvement over stock in a couple game titles. Just with these two, looks like just above 10% improvement. Just using the built in benchmarks.

Assassins Creed Valhalla: 4k, Mostly ultra settings except testing using 90% resolution scale and AA set to low (because 4k and testing if I can hit 120fps).
Stock: 100fps
OC: 112fps

Borderlands 3: 4k, Ultra preset.
Stock: 73.22
OC: 85.19

Division 2: 4k, Max settings except AA at medium
Stock: 89
OC: 99

How is it handling Cyberpunk?

what are your highest stable in game clocks with the overclock and cooling stable?
Clocks seem to vary a fair bit depending on the game. For instance, in AC:Valhalla I average over 2600Mhz. In those borderlands 3 tests, I am seeing 2450-2500. Basically once I hit the power limit, the clocks stop going up. Fans at around 60%, I am at or under 70C edge and 85C hot spot.

On the settings I was using, it bumped me from 75 to 100fps. I have not done extensive testing with regards to framerates, so that is just anecdotal to what I have seen in-game.

I'm hunting for one and the rest of your PC is very close to my current build (minus the water cooling), and you use the same monitor, nice to know what I'd be looking at for perf improvement.

Phew... My 6900xt finally arrived. Was spooked when the shipping changed from out of CA to MN, and then no FedEx status updates for 5 days until this AM. Box looks identical as FrgMstr's pic's.

What driver is everyone using - latest I assume? Will install later tonight.

Check your power settings. I remember seeing a video that AMD under powered them, You can manually tell it to draw more power for greater clocks.

Hope power limits where raised with AIB.Reference card is like a 1 legged man in a ass kickin contest.

Duke Nukem ForEver 2K maxed out 500-700 FPS LOL.

Really need a 5900x or 5950x
