Huge VCore Fluctuations... PSU or Mobo?

Not the PSU. This happens all the time, the voltage fluctuations. Also, are you sure that cpuz isn't reading wrong? 1.8 to 1.87 is a pretty big jump..

I respect that voltage fluctuations happen, but to that degree? I mean, my other machines vary about .08v, max.

Is there a different means of watching the voltages on VCore? I mean, I assumed CPU-Z and speedfan would be fairly reliable. What alternatives are there?

And if it's not the PSU, what else could it be?

Sounds like the caps on your motherboard (or vrm etc) that feed the cpu are getting flaky. Guess it's cases like these that prompt gigabyte to hype up their ds line
