HT setup

With all the stuff out there now, it's made it kind of difficult to sift the good out of everything. I'm looking at spending between $2500 and $3000 on a HT setup. I already have the TV (Samsung 61" DLP w/1080p resolution), and will be using it not only for movies, but HD sat, PS3 (blue ray movies as well), and Xbox360 (HD DVD movies whenever the drive is available). Wiring is already setup in the house for 5.1 (monster cable to the rears is run through the attic). Any and all suggestions for the processor/amp/speakers would be greatly appreciated

Have you also consulted with AVS Forum?

Do you want to go with a digitally amplified receiver or a traditional analog one? How large is the room your home theater will be placed in? How much are you looking to spend on this setup (receivers and speakers)? Since you mentioned processor and amp separately, are you looking to go with "separates"?
