HP ZR24W problem! please read!

Hi guys

I just saw 2 light grey line on both right and left side of my screen.. so far im very happy with this monitor and never had any issues b4.

FW: v0.23G
BackLight Hourse: 3062
 
I would get it warrantied now and dont worrry why it happened. Just get your new screen as soon as possible from HP.

does it look like water stains? I have seen that reported before. It might be the panel S-IPS
 
cannot be water strain.. its in the panel

could it be that I had a external placed behind the monitor?
 
Looks to be the same thing as this.

I've had the same thing on an old Dell 2005FPW, and someone else noticed it on a NEC 20WMGX2 (same S-IPS panel as the 2005FPW).

I'm guessing it's some layering coming apart in the panel somehow.. anyway easy RMA for you.
 
Definitely get it replaced if it's under warranty. My 'stain' has become less obvious but it's still there.
 
I've heard of this happening with several LG IPS monitors, and I've seen it myself with the NEC 20WMGX2. Typical crappy LG quality. Get the monitor replaced through HP.
