HP Pavilion OSD software name?

I recently purchased an hp pavilion dv6000 series notebook. after the first day off use my on-screen-display (the one that shows valume up and down, mute, play pause and all that other stuff) stop working.

however it doesnt seem a mystery as to why it stopped as right before it did i deleted some startup keys from the system registry. i was removing keys for software which i didnt want running (as new computers often come bloated) and i think i may of accidently deleted the key for the osd software.

if any knows the name of this software or a way i can get it to work again id be most thankful.

Been 2 days and i still couldn't work it out. Just finished doing a complete re-install, so my computer is in full working order.

I still dont know the name of the software, but if anyone else does then post it anyway as it may help people out in the future

Have you tried HP's support website? It's a link to all there dv6000 series laptops since I don't know which specific model you have.​
