Stolen from FW and updated by me. The system has a dual channel chipset, an AGP 4x/8x slot, 3 PCI slots and integrated GF4 MX with dual VGA. This is a much better system than the cheap Dell 2400s (no AGP) that go on sale all the time. The video is faster and this system is more upgradeable with an AGP slot and faster CPUs.

Apply the coupon code HPHY03 for an extra $50 off and the total will be $234.46 with free shipping.

If you want a 48x CD-ROM, add $18.80. But if you're going to add a burner or DVD-ROM, you can save money by not buying the 48x CD-ROM. If you don't want the keyboard, subtract $9.40. A 56K modem is $18.80 extra. The CPU matches the Barton 2600+ (1.92GHz, 333MHz FSB) even though it's not described. Since the system is so cheap, even the CPU upgrades aren't too bad: +$112 for an 3000+ or +$131 for a 3200+. WinXP Pro is $63 extra.

Sweet! Somehow my system came to $225.05, another $10.00 cheaper!

Thanks a lot for an outstanding deal.

I think you are reading this wrong. That 234.00 is the discount. Not the total for the PC.

It adds the 28.00 to go to the 2600 XP also.

This is the price with the 2600 and no cd rom and the -50 rebate
272.00

If I put the 2400 243.00

Dead now. It looks like HP ended the deal early, probably due to the high demand. :p I ordered one around midnight last night.

The CPU matches the Barton 2600+ (1.92GHz, 333MHz FSB)

There's no such thing as a 2600+ barton. I did the same thing when building my dad a computer... I was planning on buying him a 2500+ barton, saw on newegg the 2600+ was only 10 bux more, so i ordered that. Then i realized too late that there isn't a 2600+ barton, but THERE is a 2600+ 333Mhz FSB. Not a big deal, not a big speed difference... just letting ya'll know..
