So I've searched around, but I can't seem to find much info about the AL2416WS.
Not mentioned on the US/UK Acer page .. I only found it at:
http://www.acer.com.tw/products/monitor/lcd_monntor4.htm

I see that the L2335 is pretty awesome (Yes, I did see that 71 page long thread ^-^), I just wonder how it is compared to the Acer? Anyone tested it? Seen any tests?
6ms, 1920x1200, 1000:1 seems pretty impressive imo.

This is my first post, be nice :D

wow, that is an impressive aser 24" monitor. I have the L2335 and I absolutely love it! Great for college as im taking it back and forth from home to my appartment. Does the acer monitor not have DVI?! maybe its the new samsung panel or perhaps a LG panel? I think its samsung... anyone else know?

Hey There,
Here's a link to review on the acer lcd: http://www.behardware.com/articles/595-1/24-pouces-rapides-6-ms.html It looks like it's an S-PVA lcd Check this site out http://www.flatpanels.dk/panels.php just put the model number in and it will tell you the type of lcd it uses.

I have a 23 inch Benq FP231W. It has the same LG S-IPS lcd that the apple cinema display and the HP L2335 have. I love this screen and I recommend it. It was cheaper in price than the hp (F2304 and L2334) and the acd. My original choice was the hp F2304 but the ones I saw had some pink banding around the outside border like the 23 inch acd's have had in the past. They didn't have the HP L2335 but I've seen a couple of them and they looked really nice but they were more expensive than the Benq. I prefer the S-IPS lcds over the S-PVA lcds thats why I bought the 23 incher.
Anyways, hope it helps!
cheers,
rbq

I got a great deal on the Apple 23", so I got that one instead ^^
Dun need component, pip and tilt. Yes the hp is more value for money, but life isn't all about value for money ;)

Congrats on your apple 23"! It's a beautiful lcd!
Just make sure that there is no pink banding around the outside border/edges of the lcd. You can see this if you switch to an all white screen.
cheers
