How can I uninstall Edge from Win 10? I'm not talking about the new chromium based Edge, I'm talking about the old Edge. I know Microsoft doesn't want you to but surely there is a way.

From all the research I have done I would say Microsoft does not allow the removal of their old Edge browser (they do allow the uninstall of the new browser for some strange reason). Some people have mentioned using third party applications to possible do it but I would be uncomfortable doing that as it may affect the integrity of the OS. I would say set you default browser to another Web platform and simply forget about Edge altogether.

CCleaner Uninstall unity I have found can remove Windows 10 apps that are not available for uninstall. But keep in mind the discussion found here.

Why do you want to do that ? Just use another browser and set it as default

Old Edge is deeply integrated into the OS, just like Cortana, you can remove them, but it can break certain things, even other thrid party apps that expect them to be present on the system.

Who cares set w/e you want as the default and move on. It will just reinstall every update.
Old embedded browsers are a popular way to exploit security weaknesses and attack the system. It's a very bad idea to have IE or Edge components anywhere installed.

The old Edge cannot be uninstalled on its own. Security support for it will end this coming March 9, while an update that's slated for April 13 will "permanently" disable that browser. The next feature update to Windows 10 - 21H1 - will completely remove the legacy Edge browser.

And IE 11 will continue in "extended" support for as long as the versions of Windows that included it (up to and including the current 20H2 version of Windows 10) remain in support. No new features will ever be released for IE 11 while only critical security fixes will continue.

This 100%. Just this last month I had to reformat 2 Pc's, caused by the users looking up "life hacks" to disable Cortana, which in turn fubared windows search and the windows button. Now their both enjoying limited user status.

Ok cool. I guess I'll just wait for it to be uninstalled by Windows.

Damn thing will still nag at you when you change your default browser - pops up periodically. Same with Bing!
