Hello i have a linksys wireless router that i want to extend. i have bought a Dlink DWL-g710 range extender in hopes that it would fuful my purpose. i can connect to the Dlink with a wireless connection but i am unable to connect to the linksys when plugged into the LAN port on the dlink. i was hoping i could plug a wired computer into a hub and then the hub into the Dlink which would then talk to the wireless network. so far i cant make it work with eitehr static ips or DHcp.
will this dlink let a computer plugged into the LAN port to talk to the wireless network or does it only allow wireless connections to talk to it?
would a "game adapter" work better?
i know its just a bridge but would it work to plug a LAN cable into say a logitech game adapter (for xbox etc) and then it would be able to talk to the wireless network?
