I bought HALO: CE for the PC few years back, but my new DVD drive doesn't read (nor write) CDs well. The old Sony (lite-on) also had few issues and it affected the performance of DVD as well.

Anyway, long story short, before I retire my old drive, I would like to RIP HALO onto to a DVD or HDD. Is that possible, if so how?

I've tried few softwares but without any luck

PS: Tried running HALO on the X360 and it was terrible (poor frame rate and fixed 4:3 aspect ratio). Can't believe I wasted 600 points on that.

Does that mean you've tried Alcohol 120%?

Also, Halo:CE for the PC doesn't require a CD in the drive after the latest patch (1.07 I think). That is, if it's already installed.

Lastly, are you running Halo:CE (Xbox) while in HD? My 360 always struggled with many original Xbox games unless I dropped the display mode to 480p or standard definition.

I dont understand what you mean, if its on a disc why do you need to rip/copy it. If it comes to burning/building an image I would use ImgBurn. For the ripping, go with Alcohol 120% if that doesn't work and its not protected try opening the drive with the cd in, highlight all the items then right-click and drag into a folder on your hdd and select copy from the menu when u let go of right-click. Run ImgBurn on the folder and create youself a nice image and use with daemon tools or your preferred virtual managing program.

Deja vu anyone?
