How to manually apply Moto G XT1028 OTA only Lollipop upgrade

This is for you if you're tired of waiting and hitting 'check for update' only to be told 'your system is up to date' with Kit Kat 4.4.4. Factory reset is not performed so all your apps and data should remain.

Requirements
Windows PC, USB cable and the following files.

Upgrade Instructions

1) Install appropriate 32- or 64-bit drivers for your Windows OS and minimal ADB and fastboot.

2) Extract mfastboot.exe to same folder as minimal ADB and fastboot.

3) Extract stock ROM contents to same folder as minimal ADB and fastboot.

4) Unplug the USB cable and power off the phone.

5) Press and hold 'volume down' then 'power' on the phone for a few seconds then let go of 'volume down'. You should see a screen that begins with 'AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)'.

6) Connect USB cable to your computer.

7) Open admin command prompt, cd to folder path of minimal ADB and fastboot, copy/paste each line at a time and confirm that it reports successful with OKAY.

8) While it's rebooting unplug USB cable.

9) Let it fully boot, compile your apps and take you to lock or home screen. May take several minutes.

**NOTE** New Lollipop ROM makes it more difficult to bypass activation to use on WIFI if you factory reset. If you have to factory reset for any reason follow these options to attempt to bypass activation.
