What's the fastest and easiest way to delete all e-mails in the inbox of the Gmail account including all archive messages in the all mail box?

How to completely delete all e-mails from the Gmail inbox?

Go to All mail.
Select the check box to select all mail on that page.
There will be something that says "All 100 conversations on this page are selected. Select all 21185 conversations in All Mail"
Click that link to select all messages.
Then click delete.

Vendetta or paranoia?
...just kidding. However I did delete all the mail I send my ex once and I have considered deleting my gmail as well, just because my trust in google is rapidly diminishing (how ever deleting them wont change anything, since they keep their backups.. as far as I understand).
