How to check 5950X for B2 Revision?

I found this on Twitter that indicates a 5900X will show CPUID Revision 0A201016h for B0 and 0A201204h for B2.

My 5950X is 00A20F12h. does this indicate a B2 stepping? I'm getting this information from AIDA64. I got it just about a month ago.

Not sure how to interpret those values in AIDA, but as an alternative, cpu-z provides stepping info more clearly.

Thanks for the info. I'll take it that stepping 2 is the same thing as B2?

I don't know but some guy on Ebay sold me his old 0 stepping 5950x due to heat and boost issues. His Ebay item said it was open box but he put an old CPU in the new box. Turns out after he shipped it to me that this B0 stepping is better than his B2 because its running 5ghz boost and temps are in check which he cannot obtain on his new one. Whoops!

In which way(s) is the B2 stepping superior?
B2 being superior is unconfirmed.

-----
AMD's B2 Ryzen 5000 series processors will be phased in over the next six months, offering users the same performance and functionality as their predecessors while improving the yield rate of AMD's manufacturing process.

For consumers, nothing will change, as these new processors do not require new BIOS/motherboard firmware updates to function. What will change is AMD's manufacturing capabilities. The company's new B2 stepping should allow AMD to increase their production efficiency and create more usable processors with every wafer they produce.

The benefits of this new stepping are obvious for AMD. Increased manufacturing rates will allow AMD to supply more processors to their customers. Increased wafer productivity will increase AMD's profitability, as they will be able to use more chips out of every silicon wafer. Consumers get access to a larger CPU supply, and AMD will generate more profit from its Zen 3 silicon wafers.
-----

There was some speculation that B2 might also contain some small fixes.

B2 here.. bought it new about 3 months ago, running on an MSI Carbon Max 570s. If useful, Cinebench scores (PBO on) 1772 single and ~28K multi.
