I have a syncmaster 225bw monitor. I am thinking about selling and would like to know what a fair price to sell it would be. 150? 160? can i get 170 out of it. I have no clue. What is a good price to sell it at?

Gee,

I just gave away my Dell IPS 2005FWP when I upgraded to an NEC EA231WMi.

I mean, I wouldn't feel right if someone spent $150 on my used monitor, even though it was still great, because for the same money they can get a higher resolution display with HDCP compliance.

So, maybe you'll consider gifting it to a family member or a neighbor, unless somebody here is specifically interested in that model, for some reason.

Peace to you,
C. Livingstone

I will be that somebody. PM me and I will take it off your hands.

I kinda know what you mean. I gave away my 19" Planar PX191 that I bought back in 2002. I paid around $650 for it back then. I was using it as a secondary monitor in a dual display setup until I replaced it with a 26" Planar PX2611w this summer.

You can buy a new 22" monitor for $130 shipped so I wouldn't expect to get more than $75 out of a used one.

Dang.

so the fact that it is a Samsung has no additive for a resale? I looked up samsung 22inchers and they are above 200 bucks.

This one is HDCP compliant.

kinda sucks

I have two of these monitors setup in dual display mode. They were good monitors when they came out. I paid close to $450 for my first one in dec 06.

It is a HDCP compliant one as 2wiced pointed out with an adjustable stand.

Its also a 16:10 display not the 16:9 crap an matte finish not glossy.

You should probably post a pic of the monitor also.

I would think $100 would be fair price for a used one with no dead pixels.

I paid $190 for mine over two years ago. I wouldn't expect more than $100 for it and that's if you have the original box and everything.
