Hi guys.
I have a home file server which have 13 x 2TB Seagate LP hard disk and a miniITX mainboard . The PSU power this system is Cooler Master Silent Pro M 600W which is quite a good and expensive power supply. This is a picture of this PSU module :

There are 4 port for power Hard disk. But the problem is everytime i place 4 hard disk to 1 port , the hard disk just lost in window or clicking like crazay. And it stop if i put 1 hard disk out and place only 3 hard disk per module and i can have only 12 hard disk for 4 module port.
This power supply is single rail so i beleive that any module port can supply a 40A line to the Hard disk. But why one module port can only place 3 hard disk ?Any one have any idea about this ? It not about the power supply, i'v tried to change 3 power supply already and i found out that all of the Cooler Master Silent Pro M 600W have this same problem.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english, hope your guys can understand what my problem is.

Seasonic X-series 460W Fanless and X-Series 650W , what will be best for my file server ?

For 13 hard drives I would up it to the 750w version, it's not much more and you will give your self more room to be on the safe side. x-series is great.

As i know 1 Seagate LP 2TB will take about 10W when it boot , 7W when it work , 5W ide . so peak time of 13 HDD will be 130W , a miniITX will take around 30W, Core i5 530 70W , 4G DDR3 15W . The total will take only around 250W . So why do we need a 750W power supply ?

Both are fine, but I personally would invest a little more just to be a on the safe side if I had 13 x 2tb of data. But either way both are fine powersupplies.

Thanks, I already bought a Seasonic X 650W. And it just ... wonderfull. Never and ever use Coolser Master again.
