How long / far back do you keep in your email?

I was setting up email on my new build and given I have a few email accounts (personal, work, ecommerce, contest / spam / throwaway, family only, IP camera feed only), each time I do a install / reinstall, it redownloads all of my email still on the servers. I've looked in my hotmail account - while it's cool that it goes back forever - I've only looked back that far maybe once every few years.

So with the latest build I've decided to change the accounts to keep only 1 years worth of email for each account. Hopefully it'll tidy up things just a little bit.

So what's the oldest email you still keep? Do you still keep it all?

I only keep important emails for a long time, some forever, everything else I delete right after I read it.
