This is your temperature:
1. under load--not a few seconds after running 3DMark
2. at whatever overclock you plan to use for Doom3
3. at whatever room temperature you plan to have for Doom3 this week

Using DX9 Real-Time High-Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting
Version 1.2

1600 x 1200 res : 420/1.8 : Vantec pci fan at full speed 72 C
Vantec pci fan at low speed 80 C

I lower timings to stock, I get 4 degrees cooler under full load

At idle it is 52 overclocked, and 50 at stock timings.

Is the poll in farenheit? The highest I've seen on my GT is 59c, but then again I've been running my A/C like a racehorse the past couple of weeks.

20C over ambient at idle, 43C over ambient while running rthdribl in a 1023x766 window for 15 minutes. It probably gets hotter than that in some games. I have a BFG 6800GT OC @ 400/1100.

The absolute temperature is meaningless, so I didn't vote in the poll. Users will have different ambient temperatures, so the GPU temperature will be different even with the same stock cooling and speed. It's like asking people on a staircase to measure their "height" from the ground when they're standing on different steps. :p

But I guess this is more of a bragging thing, so have fun!

yeah, everything is in Celcius...being that °C is what the monitor reports...

good point about the ambient vs absolute temp.

With my core at 400Mhz: While running rthdribl at near full screen I am about 27C over ambient as determined by the onboard sensors.
However, the onboard ambient sensor doesn't seem to be an accurate tool since it jumps up quite a bit as the core temp rises, while my own ambient sensor (located just a few inches from the card) does not. By that sensor I am actually 46C over ambient under load.
Idle temp is 26C over ambient by my sensor, but only 17C by the onboard one.

Im guessing > 86 was supposed to be < 86?

Running the real time demo at 1024x768 16x multi sample temps are at 82C "ambient" is at 54C.

Clocks are 400/1100. PNY 6800 GT

the actual ambient in the room is probably like 20-22C.

I get about 53C idle / 77C load at 400/1100. The room temperature is around 25C. I've monitored the temps while playing UT2k4 and it usually stays in the high 60s.

hmm my temps are pretty high compared to you guys it gets up to like 90 degrees however i livein a hot country and the card is overclocked to 370 by BFG's default, + mine is in a sff so i think my temps are ok

i never get problems in games though.

i get a bit over 70 when running that HDR demo. it usually hovers around 74-75.

i wonder what doom 3 will do to it.

ditto only mine will barely reach 73. Of couse that is with 9 80mm and 4 120mm case fans. One of which is a window fan directly on top of the video card and then I have the vantec spectrum blowing up on it.

Yesterday:
Ambient: 37 C
Idle: 69 C
Load: 99 C

Today after applying Arctic SIlver 5:
Ambient: 37 C
Idle: 56 C
Load: 75 C

Hopefully much cooler after I get the spectrum fan card.

My temps after 30 minutes of rth= Core 33c, ambient 39c.
Evga at 420/1140 water cooled with chilled water :D

LOL! :) I have an Aquarium Chiller that is digitally controlled, and keep my water at 51 to 54f at all times, so no ice cubes :) I can run it Much cooler, but prefer not to delve into insulating the water lines/ CPU block, Gpu block and Northbridge block, just too much of a hassle. Tho in the old days I did.

I run it at 1024x768 stock and get around 59 C but when I oc it to 412/1.12 i get around 60+ Not sure how high it goes but I know its not too high, maybe >80

how hot is too got for the core? If it throttles down at 120 then i imagine it should be able to get that hot...

if I could change that number I would set mine to 90c as the throttle.
Since I have a better cooler on my card now I dont expect it to ever pass like 85c let alone 90c

Before at stock speeds I was getting 64 idle and around 90 c on a big load. Then things seem to settle through the next few days and now OC'd to 415 core 1130 memory I get 56-57 Idle, 80-81 load.

wow, its nice seeing all these leadtek owners. when i first got mine i was one of the first on the board(i think.. didnt see more than 1 or 2 others) and now there are alot of em' :)

*edit* right now im idleing 46C, earlyer my proc was idleing at 29c(thats oc'ed 300 mhz and 1.65v... w/ a cnps 7000-alcu :p), and all i did was open a window and angle the computer to have the intace faceing it :p anywhay, this card kicks ass...

Stock speeds, XFX 6800GT, Waterchill watercooling, RTHDRIBL demo used for load

Room Temp: 25*C
Idle GPU: 43*C (61*C with stock cooler)
Load GPU: 48*C (83*C with stock cooler)

That stock NV cooler powerfully sucks. :)

that is also realy hot... are you shure the hsf is seated right? it seems alot more people w/ the 6 series have misseated hsf's than most other cards
