how do i set up the home network

i have just bought laptop with wifi.
i got the internet to work on the laptop via wifi.. (pretty cool)
now i want to be able to access my desktop files that is connected to the wireless router via ethernet.


desktop is runnign win 2000 sp4 and laptop is running win xp home..

how do i do it?

Ok, what kind of problems are you having? Specific errors and issues are appreciated as well as anything you can think of that you have done so far. Both in setting it up and in troubleshooting it.

make sure they are both in the same workgroup

go it to work. just had to run the wizzard and add the link \\desktop\\t$..

now it's just getting the desktop to read in the laptop.. i think i have to make a new partition.
