I bought mine last week from my local Micro Center (NYC)...my first time going to MC and I got one...had to get there a few hours before it opened but in the end it was worth it...I tried a few times on Best Buy and Newegg but the bots were tough to beat...with MC you don't have to deal with any of that
Yeah but if MC does have stock, too bad they don't do web ordering.

Seen a number of 3060TIs in those cages next to the checkout at MC today at 11am (and maybe others, didn't care to gawk much since I'm not a scalper and already have a card)
There were about 10 nVidia cards in the cage there

Initially bought a 3070 from an obscure computer dealer in AZ, sold it at cost to someone on the MicroCenter Discord, then snagged a 6900 from RogueCast last month.

I got my 3090 from microcenter. It was all they had in stock otherwise I would have gotten a 3080.

Interesting thought on the eVGA queue becoming what you described there undertaker2k8 in your message. I guess the bot wielding scalpers finally caught on and joined the retail queue there as well. It leaves me with 1 question: Are they stuck only being able to get 1 card per email or have they hacked a way around that (emphasizing the word "hacked")? Out!

It's each variant of each card by email, so I could have easily gotten every variant of 3070 and 3090 by now if I really wanted to scalp and I am sure many did just that...

Is the evga queue still going? I just want like 2 3060 ti cards at some point. Thats all.

They want the local traffic. I’ve seen good drops (many 3080, 3070, and handful of 3090) and dry drops (just a handful of 3090). That’s the best chances I’ve seen.

Just for grins, I just checked the Frys.com website. There used to be a Frys near me but they closed about 2 years ago. Pathetic search function that showed me some cables but no graphics cards.

Frys is hurting bad. I doubt they will make it another year. It’s a ghost town.

Couldnt get a 3080 then 3090s appeared in shops after a few months and thought, f*** it, I'm having one of those.
Lifes too short.

Setup custom alerts etc for the items I am interested in. I don't know how guys are doing it with newegg USA. I been able to checkout items in any other retailer or even newegg Canada. Newegg USA is mission impossible.

I finally said hell with it and ordered a whole pc, ended up getting what I wanted (5900x and 3080). Took 3 weeks from order to delivery, hate to pay for the privilege for someone else to put together my pc but my old 970 really wasn't happy at 1440p.

I was . close to buying one when ibuypower had a pretty good deal.

Best Buy online.

And I got super lucky, since it turned into quite the ordeal that required their own tech specialists to get involved since my bank account was charged, an order number was generated, but everything vanished (except for the hold on my bank account).
Luckily, I took a screenshot of the order completion page showing my order number, and the behind-the-scenes folks at Best Buy recreated my order, allocated my 3080, and everything turned out aces.

3080 - Newegg as part of a bundle w/an Asus 550B motherboard (which ended up in the Wifes system). This was back around November 20th though....

Evga 3070 xc3 ultra from que, 3080FE BB drop and evga 3090 ftw3 ultra on opening day.

Interesting you say that about Fry's KENNYB. I know from various reports over the past year they had major issues with their inventory due to deals falling through with their vendors and the like. I would've thought they fixed that by now (they even said they did at one point last year) and started stocking their stores again with more frequent and consistent inventory. Guess they didn't though and that makes me sad. Out!

Years ago (many) I used to go to the original Frys in Sunnyvale, CA. You got your memory chips where you got your potato chips, we all said. It was a great store, unique. That was so then. Now they are much bigger, but the service has gone way, way down, and they can't match the inventory of a place like Newegg. I used to buy motherboards, drives, everything there. I grew to hate that place, and would go there only for "quick" items like an adapter cable.

I was going for a new machine any way, so when a cyberpowerpc 3070 deal popped up before xmas i jumped on it. swapped out the case, psu and fans for my own. after selling all the parts that i didn't want locally, I'm about where i would have spent anyway.
