How did I make a link in my link bar (IE) have NO text?

I did that a long time ago and now I cannot remember How
I'm referring to the icon on the far left that is JUST an icon, no text.

I want to make a few of my links JUST icons and no text (ala quicklaunch). I've tried the obvious rename. I've tried renaming from explorer. I've even used an alt code, but it's only good for a space, and then I have to add a space each time. "a file is already named ' ' please name this something different" or something like that... bwah.

I JUST WANT QUICKLAUNCH in my IE

Does anyone know?
