How can I tell if a drive fails in a RAID mSATA 2.5" enclosure?

Hola,

I have two Intel 525 mSATA drives in a Syba dual mSATA to 2.5" SATA adapter/enclosure hosting a few critical VMs for ESXi.

I'm just wondering, does anyone know of a way I can figure out if one of the mSATA drives dies?

The RAID controller should show an error if a drive drops. Have you checked the User Manual?

Yes, like a dumbass I checked it after I started this thread. Apparently there's management software for windows which can indicate whether they're both working or not. Hope it can predict it's integrity with a non-windows file system on it, since I use it for esxi. I think if I remember it has leds, too, but kind of hard to see them on a drive sled inside a hotswap bay.

Anyway, thanks for getting back to me, and if this thread helps anyone else with my issue, the answer is so obvious: RTFM
