How can I access a Dell Recovery Partition besides from F12 Menu?

OK, the title is a bit broad. But here is the problem. The recovery partition is there and intact I have verified that. But when I boot up the pc and press F12 and then select "boot to utility partition" I get this: "utility partition not availalbe - strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility"

I pulled the hard drive out and put it into another computer and checked the recovery partition...I just need a way to access so I can restore this computer.

Suggestions appreciated :cool:
 
Forgot to mention in the previous post. This is a Dell OptPlex 320 running XP.
 
Use partitioning software to disable the main active partition and make active the recovery partition. Works for me.
 
Tap f8, I dont recall what it says exactly but its the first option available, and from that menu you should be able to restore to original specs.
