How bad of an idea is this?

I have a 3770k on a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H. I'll be putting a GeForce 1060, a pci wifi card, ssd, storage spinner and a couple case fans. I'm looking to sell this off eventually and only have an antec neo 430 laying around. It looks ok for wattage, but my main concern is that it only has the 4 pin connector for power to the cpu and the board has the 8 pin. Via the diagram it looks like the addition 4 are ground only. It seems like back in the day you could use only the 4 pin and be fine, just wondering if that's still the case.

It's actually 2 +12V and 2 GND.

But it looks like the 3770K just requires the 4-pin ATX-12V. EPS-12V would be optional for extra power if you were overclocking.

Given how old that PSU is, though, I would be hesitant to use it with anything.

You only need to connect the 4pin or you can get a 4 to 8 pin adapter if you really wanted.
