Of course it is. About 2 years ago (release of the g3258) I played tons of games on my laptop. I didn't have Steam, still don't, but I still used a laptop with a built in Intel card. Truthfully, the newest Intel gpu's actually run games pretty smoothly and considering I purchased my i5 laptop for only $50, how could I not?
