I mean, it is not going to get any cheaper than this and if it does ... jesus H christ

BTW, I have this memory, pushes 3500 - 3600 easily

I priced matched at Microcenter and the guys were "shocked" ... lol. Loved their reactions.

Ar these single rank DIMMs? Anyone remember what the max supported memory speed is with Ryzen 3000 and 4 single sided DIMMs?

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4-3200 is $65.99 at Microcenter. A better deal than this (assuming your store has it in stock) and it isn't RGB nor does it have oversized heatsinks (both are a must for me as I hate RGB and I have to have low profile heatsinks to fit under my massive CPU heatsink).

micron e-die got the 32gb version of the same thing for $125, they can allegedly do 3600 at cas17.

Good to see ddr4 prices finally getting reasonable. They were waaay too high for too long. (y)

The one night I go to bed early! I've been needing some decent RGB RAM for a build I'm putting together for a friend. Oh well, glad you scored some!

Interesting, considering I could by the 32GB version at Best Buy for $164.99 : https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-32gb-2pk-16gb-3-2ghz-pc4-25600-ddr4-dimm-unbuffered-non-ecc-desktop-memory-kit-with-rgb-lighting-black/6333800.p?skuId=6333800

SixFoot, think it is worth the 32GB cost I posted, since I already have 16GB of ram in all 3 of my computers? (I do not need 32GB , byu the way.)

Not sure if they got more stock, but I checked out the original link and found them for $69.99 again.

The bestbuy 32gb (2x16) for $164.99 seems like a better deal.. Any reason it would not be as performant as the 2x8?

Bought a 32GB kit of this at MicroCenter with a 3700x and Aorus Ultra and without tweaking it runs at 3600 16-20-20-20 there's a reddit thread where the guy is running tighter timings, just have not had time. with the combo discount it was 119.99!

I am having trouble getting my 32GB E die based kit stable at it's rated 3200c16-18-18. I tried (once) to tweak the sub-timings that Ryzen Ram Calc gave me for fast 3200 and it would not post (on sig Mobo).

It would not even attempt to boot, had to clear CMOS to get back in the bios.

Which mobo do you have exactly? Because googling "X470 Prime" gives me the X470-Pro in most results. I ask, because I have the ROG Strix X470 F-Gaming, and getting my Corsair Vengeance RAM to its rated 3200 MHz seemed impossible for me after hours of tweaking timings, voltages, and other settings (can't remember exactly, as it was right before I moved overseas a couple months ago and haven't got my PC back yet), and the best I could get was 3066 MHz, I think. Loading the XMP (or whatever that 4-letter acronym was for Asus' equivalent is) profile for the RAM or pushing it past 3066 would do the same thing you're seeing; no booting (but didn't have to reset CMOS at least). But then I updated my BIOS/UEFI right before I left and that basically killed any OCing for anything and made me think my card died or something initially. That was a PITA to troubleshoot before I realized it was a bad BIOS update and reverted back to my previous version where I was able to at least get my previous settings to work again.

I would have sent the board back and replaced it with a different model if I wasn't crunched for time before I left. I hope when I get my PC back, that they've released a newer BIOS for Zen 2 and it works much better than the version I was on and at least fixes the crashing issue I had on the pre-Zen 2 update that killed everything for me. I'm guessing you're on the Pro board though, so none of this may apply to your board, but since it's the same brand and chipset, I figured it might be worth posting.

I am on the latest offical Zen 2 bios, which is 5007 and was released on June 21st (IIRC). ..THE first version that supported Zen2 was extremely buggy (like this one isn't!). I do have the Prime Pro (their white themed board).

I just realized in my hurrying 20 min of tweaking that task manager was only showing 15.5of 15.9GB of ram being used during the stress test, so I've either got a bad stick of ram or one is seated properly.

I still have my Micron D die 32GB 3000c15 kit, but those are downbinned ICs so they are basically maxed out from the factory. When I bought them I exp cted to get the V4./5.x revision which is Micron E die based, but I did not get them.

Going to troubleshoot it some this morning as I haven't done any serious tweaking since I'm waiting for my 5700xt's you block to get my loop back up. But I can say Asus needs to get off their rear end and push out a new BIOS. WITH AMD recalling that AGESA update I have no idea when it will happen.

try 16-20-20

I will see what relaxed timings do once I figure out if I have a bad DIMM...I
s
have the 3000c15 kit, and I am wondering if I should just keep that. It is 15-17-17 and I did not attempt to tighten them up since I saw the E-die kit go on sale for the sale price while rated for at least 3200.

The 3000c15 kit might do 3200c16 just fine. I dunno. If I have a dead DIMM I will see what I can do. Will report back in a bit.

I used a 16GB kit of this with great results on my 1600/2700...it would do 3200c14 rock solid stable...System ran 24/7 mining cryptonight when I wasn't using it. T4rd , I was able to figure out why one of my DIMMs was missing...These stupid one sided latches will allow the fixed side to make it seem like the DIMM is fully seated when it is not. Still having some issues @ 3200 stock but am currently stressing 3466 c16-17-19. If these work out, I will try to tighten things or move to 3600. But this buggy BIOS is a crying shame. I will never buy another Asus board. I broke my own rule with them when I purchased the x370 Prime-Pro and if I had not a store warranty would have had to eat shipping/time/most likely ended up with a broken board from their terrible RMA. But I will quit cluttering this thread.
