My girlfriends house is setup with a wrt54g (not sure of the model but its the one with more options, has more yellow lights on front)
Anyways, out of nowhere she and her roommates complained that they lost internet. I narrowed it down to the router. I noticed when the router it plugged in, and i check network connections, the internet gateway icon stays disabled. When i go to enable it, everything seems fine but then almost immediately it gets disabled yet. Packets are being received, and sent out. No internet connection. I reset the router to defaults, still nothing. Checked IE settings and reverted those back to default, nothing. Router is hooked up to a simple cable line. Internet works without router.
Any ideas? I plan on testing another router, but i figured it would be worth asking on here, maybe someone heard of this before.
