HIS 6950 2GB and Antec 300

I just purchased this card:

and this case:

I had to RMA the case because the front panel arrived damaged, however, after taking a look at the card I got to thinking, will it even fit? I googled and found a lot of information on the subject, however, most of the posts are saying the HIS card is 11.5" length. The Antec 300 can accommodate an 11" card....I thought I had my answer, but upon measuring the length of the card, it seemed to be just shy of 10". Have they shortened the length of some of the card? A little confused here, any help is appreciated!
 
The card says its this on Neweggs website --- 10.04" x 4.96" x 1.65"

So it should fit.
 
Yeah, seems so...When I measured it actually seemed to be slightly under 10. I may have to remove the drive bay though....
 
I think you should be fine though, I have a Antec 300 at home, I can measure if you'd like and report back what it is.
 
If you have time, that'd be fantastic, thank you! I'm going to probably risk it though. I think worst case scenario (no pun intended) I have to remove the drive bay.
 
I think you have to tilt the card when you install it. That's how I had to install a 5830 which is the same length as the 5870 and roughly the same size as a 6950(I think). You'll see what I mean when you go to install it.
