Hi guys,
I'm in search for a decent monitor to use as an external display for my Macbook Air. After comparing the 27" Thunderbolt display next to the 27" 5K display at Best Buy today, I noticed a considerable difference in crispness and clarity with the 5K display. With that being said, I'm not looking for an actual computer, rather, just an external display.
From what I have gathered, the Macbook Air can support up to 4K via Thunderbolt. Although, I am not 100% sure about this.
I'm looking for any recommendations for a display that is crisp and clear similar to the 5K display offered by Apple, in the range of 27"-30". My budget is, I suppose up to 500$, although if there are cheaper options that would be better, lol.
As a note, I'm not a gamer, nor do I do video editing or anything that would require a huge demand from a display. Although, I do spend a many hours a day staring at my monitor programming and surfing the web.
Thanks
