Hello

It's been a few years since I last upgraded my computer, so I thought I'd consult someone who's more up2date than I currently am myself.

I have an Asus P9X79 Pro motherboard, with Corsair Dominator DDR3 PC15000/1866MHz CL9 4x4GB memory.

However, I would like to upgrade the memory to maybe 32 GB or more -- but I have no idea what would actually be compatible with my motherboard. Could I add another 4x4 GB set to go with my old ones, or do I need an entire new rack of sticks?

My only requirment is that the volume is big. It doesn't need to be the most high-performance memory out there.

Thanks!

You should be able to add 4 more sticks of the same RAM. Mixing RAM doesn't always work.

If you can't find the same RAM, you could always order a 4x8GB set and try to use them together. That would give you 48GB if it works and 32GB if it doesn't.
