Hi I know this is the correct place to get some good advice from the very knowledgable members of this forum,
I am looking to buy a new Nvidia card. I have been using an ATI 4870 card and have decided to go back to Nvidia. I want to keep the next card for at least 2 years. I play games and watch HD movies as it's main planned use.
From reading other posts on here I see the GTX460 cards are very popular, but I saw a Zotac GTX470 at £234 price point compared to the £213 for the KFA2 GTX460 by EVGA.
So should I buy the Zotac GTX470 or the EVGA ZFA2 GTX460 the difference in price is only £20.
I know EVGA has life tome warranty but I'm not to bothered about that I just want the better and fasted card.
So out of the below two cards which would you get?
.
KFA2 GeForce GTX 460 LTD OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [60XGH6HS3GXW] or the
Zotac GeForce GTX 470 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [ZT-40201-10P].

Thanks for any help;).....

460 runs colder, overclocks better, and EVGA > Zotac, but the EVGA you linked to may have a very bad fan design (I have no reports on the fan design for the card you mentioned but it looks identical to the Galaxy which has been devastated by users as being simply awful).

Overall a 470 is faster than a 460, but runs hotter, and the gap shrinks as you overclock the 460 (most 460s overclock easily and still run cold). In your case, I would buy the 470, if those are the only 2 choices and you don't care about an extra £20. Absolutely the 470 if you don't care about heat/noise at all and aren't going to overclock. EASY choice then.

As I am guessing youre in the uk, on the scan.co.uk website theres a today only deal for the 470 for 229GBP and the 470 for 176GBP (1GB not EVGA). The Today only deals are usually there most days, and if they go are back the next week. Mostly.
The 470 is a faster card, and with better cooling can be overclocked well. Youd have to push a 460 quite hard to reach the same frame rates as a standard 470, and 470's can do 3 way SLI.
