I have some parts laying around that I want to build a computer out of. I tried picking out a motherboard, optical drive and hard drive. Not sure if they are the best choices or if I left anything out.
I ran the build through hover hound for compatibility and posted it below.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mostly web browsing.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
No budget, just build cheap as possible.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Boston Massachusetts
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Motherboard, optical drive, hard drive (500 gig or larger is good)
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT

AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX640WFGMBOX

Dell Demension 2350 case.
EVGA 500 watt power supply http://www.microcenter.com/product/427100/500_Watt_80_500_Watt_ATX_Power_Supply
XFX Radeon HD 6450 HD 6000 HD-645X-ZQH2
6) Will you be overclocking?
no
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
18" for now but will be upgrading to a 1080p at some point.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
now
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
wifi would be a plus but don't need it. It has to be micro atx to fit case.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I have windows 7 64 bit.

I am not crazy about buying used unless its a good seller on here. Last 2 boards where unstable and caused me a lot of aggravation before they finally died.

I buy a lot of used cheap video cards and motherboards. For someone to ship it to you and be worth their time at all they are going to want $30 - for that price gap I would just get the new one you picked

Any other input? All parts are ok? Ram and cpu should work ok with that board? Is the hard drive I picked ok?
I have to ask again. I usually don't do a good job of picking parts.

For mostly web browsing I'd ditch the discrete GPU and use the Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3000 graphics, then I'd ditch the mechanical hard drive and get an SSD. The system will be a lot snappier with an SSD. You can get a Samsung 250GB EVO for around $90.

I have to rma a samsung 500gb evo that was in my main rig in my sig. Defective right out of the box. (I think) I bought another ssd for main computer.

I am going to use that for a hard drive and I had to order a computer case because the dell case has a proprietary wiring setup.
I ordered a Cooler Master N200 case for about $55 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119274
I might still use the 6450 it may be used for occasional light gaming.

Light gaming? Hold off on buying the discrete GPU and give the on board GPU a shot. They're a little better than they use to be. If it doesn't handle the light gaming duties you desire then spend the extra money on a discrete graphics card, but IMHO I think you'll be fine for light gaming.

I finally got it together. Posting from it now. I ended up going with the onboard graphics and I had a spare samsung evo 500gb I used. Thanks for help.
